New Sales Manager at BoxWay Packaging Exeter

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Botting as Sales Manager, Exeter.

Matthew will be responsible for supporting our local and national customers to enhance their products by having the best possible packaging and service. He first joined the corrugated world following an interview with a fantastic salesman who captured his imagination with print and constructional design. He is still driven to this day (now 25 years later!) by design, print and the environmental credentials of paper based packaging.

He has dealt with all areas of corrugated and carton board packaging from design-led, high quality printed flexographic and litho printed boxes and displays to high volume service-driven corrugated packaging into food manufacturers. He has experience working with breweries, food manufacturers, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, electrical and industrial packaging, but really seems to enjoy food and breweries for some reason – and even got the nickname ‘the beer and crisps man’!

Matthew believes that packaging can really add to the customer experience, observing: “Packaging is normally the first thing you see. For the customer this is the first impression of the product so whether it’s a branded shipping / ecommerce pack that gets the product from A to B or a retail / gift pack, this is the first impression you have to influence the customers’ decision and hopefully leave a lasting impression to influence them to buy again or tell their friends about their experience. This really interests me and I am always looking at packaging for ideas and trying to keep one step ahead.”

You will find Matthew on the sports field when he’s not helping customers with their packaging. A keen supporter of Exeter Chiefs and a runner, which is handy for keeping up with his active 3 year-old boy!

Scott Reed, General Manager, BoxWay Packaging Group, Exeter, commented on Matthew’s appointment: “We are delighted that Matthew is joining the team – our customers and BoxWay Packaging are going to benefit from his wealth of experience.”
